Professional Pet-Sitting

Pet-sitting is a growing business. People sometimes have to go out of town and cannot take their pets, especially on short notice... and there are others who simply work late and want people to care for their pets.

Suzanne M. Roth's book, "The Reality of Professional Pet Sitting: A Candid Look at a Growing Profession" is a good starting point for for would-be pet-sitters. It's not a step-by-step guide, really, but more of an inside look at what it takes to be a pet-sitter. It offers stories and insights into the pet-sitting business to help you decide whether or not it's something you really want to pursue. Her book is available here.
